Hi! I'm Haoyu Yang (She/Her), currently a game technical designer based in Los Angeles. I graduated from New York University at the end of 2023 with the degree of Bachelor of Arts in Computer and Data Science from the College of Arts and Science, minoring in Game Design and Web Programming and Applications. I'm set to pursue a Master of Science degree in Game Design and Development at the School of Cinematic Arts, University of Southern California.
Some fun facts about me:
- The game I've played the longest is "League of Legends," which I've been playing for nearly a decade since middle school.
- My favorite indie game was "Inside" for a long time.
- My recent favorite game is "Baldur's Gate 3."

New York Metro Guardian is a PC simulation game with tower defense as its primary gameplay. In this game, players take on the role of a New York subway dispatcher, coordinating repairmen, negotiators, and the policemen to resolve subway accidents that occur at any time, helping the New York subway successfully navigate the morning rush. The game combines storytelling and gameplay to provide players with a rich gaming experience.

Inspiration
Over the past three years, I've lived in New York City. As the saying goes, 'New York is both heaven and hell,' I harbor complex and nuanced feelings towards this city. The New York subway, an essential part of my daily commute, fills me with gratitude. However, the ceaseless incidents (which form the main backdrop of the game), along with the disorderly environment, often leave me perturbed and apprehensive. Perhaps, these complex emotions add to the allure of this city. In this game, accidents will occur on multiple tracks, causing train stoppages and traffic congestion.
